Rabbi Lewis D. Solomon was ordained in 1996 by the Rabbinical
Studies Department of The New Seminary in New York, NY.
Throughout his rabbinate he has created modern liturgies for
holiday celebrations and officiated at numerous Jewish lifecycle
events. Rabbi Solomon is a past president of the International
Federation of Rabbis, a member of the Washington Board of
Rabbis and serves on the faculty at The George Washington
University Law School as the Van Vleck Research Professor of
Law.
Rabbi Solomon has authored numerous books and articles
including Spiritual Judaism: Revitalizing Judaism for the
Twenty-first Century and The Jewish Book of Living and Dying. He
and his wife, Janet, live in Chevy Chase, Maryland and have a son,
Michael in California.
